Satulah Mountain

Satulah Mountain sits above Highlands, North Carolina and holds a significant place in the history of land management and conservation on the Highlands-Cashers Plateau. Satulah Mountain was purchased by the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust in 1909 to preserve it from a planned hilltop hotel development.  This purchase laid the foundation for the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust, which now manages over 3,400 acres on the Plateau.

We take inspiration from Satulah Mountain’s history of preservation and believe that our role as an ESOP fiduciary has a similar foundation – one of long-term prosperity for your ESOP, your employees, and your company.
